Finding accommodation for the Olympics

The Olympics are being held in Whistler during the period 12 to 28th February 2010. Much of the accommodation has been prebooked by VANOC (the Vancouver Olympic Committee), but there is still plenty that has not yet been booked. The reason for this is that many owners are not yet sure how to price the accommodation fairly. Therefore we are treating each booking as a separate negotiation: if you would like to let us know what you are looking for, and what sort of budget you have in mind, we will approach our owners with your proposal and see if we can come to an agreeable outcome.

As an indication, properties that are currently available for booking during the Olympics are being offered in the following range of pricing:

5-bedroom ski-in, ski-out with walking distance to Village: $3000-5000 per night
4-bedroom ski-in in Upper Village: $2000-3000 per night
3-bedroom in Upper Village $1500-2500 per night
2-bedroom in Village: $1000-$1500 per night

This period may also require relatively long stays: all owners are looking for 14-nights as a minimum and some are looking for 30-night minimums.
